Walkable Lisbon for small legs
Tram 28 stops at the bottom of the street, so the most iconic ride in Lisbon doesn’t need taxi planning. Lisbon Cathedral is around the corner; São Jorge Castle is roughly ten minutes on foot for the grown-ups; Pingo Doce supermarket is three minutes away for the unavoidable mid-week shop. Most of central Lisbon (Alfama, Baixa, Chiado) is walkable from the apartment without needing the metro.

Honest about the building
Casa Almada is a 220 m² apartment all on one floor, no internal stairs. The building itself is a traditional Lisbon walk-up to the 4th floor, with no lift. Most families are fine with the climb (we help with luggage on arrival), but if anyone in your group has mobility limits, message us first and we’ll be honest about whether the apartment is the right fit for your trip.
Day trips families come back to
Sintra is a 40-minute train ride; Cascais is a beach day out by the coast train; Belém’s pastel de nata is twenty minutes by tram or Uber. Each is a proper day with kids, and Casa Almada is in the right spot to make any of them work without a car.

Lisbon’s Old Town has cobbled streets and hills, so a sturdy buggy with decent wheels makes a difference. Tram 28 at the bottom of the street is the easiest reset when small legs run out.
