Luxury Apartment Stays at Casa Almada

Luxury Apartment Stays at Casa Almada

Family, multigenerational, group, celebration, hen and off-season stays in the heart of Lisbon’s Old Town.

Casa Almada is my lovingly designed 220 m² luxury apartment right in the heart of Lisbon, with a rooftop terrace looking out over the city, three super-king bedrooms and two bathrooms. The same apartment serves a multigenerational family on a school holiday, a group of friends celebrating a milestone birthday, and a couple on an anniversary getaway, without any of them having to compromise on what they came for.

Family stays in Lisbon

Family-ready means more than child-tolerant. Three super-king bedrooms (all can split into singles for kids sharing), two baby cots, optional toddler beds, blackout blinds in every room (including the lounge for nap time), Kids Netflix and Disney+ on the Samsung Frame TVs, an Xbox, board games and toys, and a fully equipped kitchen for cooking with kids underfoot. Tram 28 stops at the bottom of the street, so day trips to Belém or Estrela work without taxis. Pingo Doce is a three-minute walk for the supermarket run.

Multigenerational stays

Grandparents, parents and kids under one roof, without the bathroom queue, the noise wars, or the layout compromises that ruin a holiday. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, plus a double sofa bed and a single rollaway for flexibility. The open-plan lounge gives everyone somewhere to be together; the rooftop terrace gives the grandparents a quiet morning spot with a coffee. Lisbon Cathedral is around the corner and São Jorge Castle is roughly ten minutes on foot, so older relatives who prefer a slower morning can wander while the parents sort the small ones.

Group stays for friends

Up to 9 friends in one apartment, with three super-king bedrooms, two bathrooms, a double sofa bed and a single rollaway, plus the rooftop terrace for sundowners over the Lisbon skyline. The open-plan kitchen-living-diner fits everyone, Alexa handles the music, the espresso machine sorts the mornings, and Alfama, Baixa and Chiado are all within walking distance for restaurants and bars. Best for couples-of-friends groups or close-knit ten-person trips. We will happily help with restaurant bookings and Lisbon recommendations.

Anniversary, birthday & milestone stays

Casa Almada isn’t a function venue, it’s better than one. The apartment hosts your group privately, the rooftop terrace is yours for champagne at sunset, and Lisbon’s best restaurants, fado houses and riverside walks are minutes away. Most milestone stays book the full apartment for 3 to 5 nights so the celebration spreads across mornings on the rooftop, afternoons in Alfama, and long evenings in Chiado.

Celebration weekends

Friend-group celebrations, milestone birthdays away, family reunions, big-occasion long weekends. Casa Almada sleeps 9, has the rooftop terrace for sundowners over the Lisbon skyline, and is a short walk to Chiado and Alfama for restaurants. The apartment is hosted personally, so we will happily help with restaurant bookings, dinner-in catering, or Lisbon recommendations the morning before. Best for close-knit groups who want a proper Lisbon base for a celebration weekend, not a function venue.

Off-season & school-holiday stays

January and February in Lisbon are mild, quiet and the best value of the year. Easter, October half-term and Christmas all have their own charm, fewer queues at São Jorge Castle, lighter tickets for the Lisbon to Sintra train, lunch on the rooftop in light coats. Casa Almada is at its quietest and best-value during these weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many people can stay at Casa Almada?

Up to 9 guests across three super-king bedrooms (each can split into singles), plus a double sofa bed and a single rollaway for flexibility. Two baby cots are available free.

Is Casa Almada suitable for young children?

Yes. The apartment is properly family-ready, not just child-tolerant. Two baby cots, optional toddler beds, blackout blinds in every room, Kids Netflix and Disney+ on the Samsung Frame TVs, an Xbox and board games, and a fully equipped kitchen for cooking with kids underfoot.

Is there a lift?

No. Casa Almada is on the 4th floor of a traditional Lisbon Old Town building with no lift. Most guests are fine with the stairs (we will help with luggage on arrival), but if anyone in your group has mobility limits, message us first and we will be honest about whether the apartment is the right fit.

Can we host a celebration weekend at the apartment?

Yes. Casa Almada is a great base for friend-group celebrations, milestone birthdays, family reunions and anniversary weekends. The apartment sleeps 9, has the rooftop terrace for pre-dinner drinks, and is a short walk to Chiado and Alfama for restaurants. We do not accept parties, stag dos or large events, this is a private residential apartment.

Is parking available?

Lisbon’s Old Town is properly walkable, so almost no guest needs a car. If you do drive in, paid car parks nearby will sort you for the stay.

How far is the airport?

Lisbon airport is roughly a 20-minute taxi or Uber away. The metro red line connects the airport to central Lisbon.

Can we arrange early check-in or late check-out?

Yes, whenever possible. It depends on other guests arriving or departing, but we are always flexible where we can be.
